On April 25, 2025, the entire Ménagez-Vous team came together to celebrate the retirement of Paule Marquis, the company’s founder and a key figure in its 39-year history.
Paule built much more than a commercial cleaning company. She created a human-centered workplace grounded in respect, discipline and fairness. Over the years, she trained, supported and inspired hundreds of employees, leaving an impact that will be felt for a long time to come.
A path like no other
With a law degree in hand, Paule seemed destined for a legal career. But at 25, she chose a different path: she traded in her robe for a mop and a broom and founded Ménagez-Vous with as much seriousness as if she were launching a law firm.
What began as a small operation grew into a strong company in the commercial cleaning industry. And while cleanliness was at the heart of its services, it was Paule’s focus on people that truly set it apart.
Over the years, Paule was involved in every aspect of the business, including operations, management and growth, but it was always human resources that sparked her passion. Since her sons took over the leadership about ten years ago, she focused on recruitment, employee development and attentive support. Always present in the office, she had a way of making people feel at ease and recognizing everyone’s potential.
Heartfelt thanks
To mark her departure, colleagues, friends and partners shared meaningful messages of thanks. Many recounted how a hiring decision made by Paule had transformed their professional and sometimes even personal lives.
The administrative team also gathered for a dinner filled with emotion, laughter and cherished memories. A moment that reflected her spirit: simple, genuine and human.
What’s next?
Even though Paule is officially stepping down, the spirit she instilled lives on. The current HR team, led by a strong director and supported by committed coordinators, continues to uphold the values she passed on.
